Introduction
Mobi.Ubiq provides mobile applications and a web service that enables you to scan, discover and share objects with RFID or barcode tags. Based on the identified object, information and services become available. Mobi.Ubiq is a framework to connect everyday objects and supports building and interacting with the 'Internet of Things'.
We believe that the combination of object-based and location-based services will create new possibilities that are to extend mobile computing and push consumer technology.
Allergy info on mobile phone
Together with SafeShopper we implemented a pilot to display food allergy warnings on a mobile phone.
Privacy coach
The Privacy Coach is a mobile application that supports customers making privacy decisions when confronted with RFID tags.
Tagology
Tagology is an experiment to create a language for both humans and computers. Tagology codes represent two meanings: a logo to be read by people and bits for computers. Mobi.Ubiq devloped an IPhone reader for Tagology tags.
Mobi.Scan
Mobi.Scan is a barcode scanner application for mobile phones. Based on the recognized object, information and services are provided. Service can dynamically be added via the Service Directory. These services operate as an extra layer over the scanned product. In his way the package of a product is extended and personalized.
Internet of Things
Waag Society developed scenarios, commissioned by Mobi.Ubiq, for the 'Internet of Things' (IoT). The exercise resulted in a booklet that investigates what an environment with IoT in our daily life means. You can download it here (Dutch).
